Texas lost a part of our heart and soul with the recent passing of Monica Roberts. As a community we are all holding the heaviness of her iconic presence and processing the loss of our sister, mother, elder, daughter, and “Auntie Moni” to every trans kid she crossed paths with. We will gather Friday evening at Long Performing Arts Center for an outdoor, socially distanced, and masked event to honor her memory, share our collective grief, and remember the joy she brought into everyone’s life that she touched.
We respectfully require masks to be worn by all attendees and social distancing measures to be adhered to in order to ensure we keep one another safe as we come together to honor her life and legacy that she leaves behind.
Limited seating will be available for community members who experience difficulty standing for extended periods of time and we respectfully request that priority be given to those folks.
We have ensured that parking via Riverside Drive is available at no cost near the venue location. We will have volunteers assisting traffic flow, so people will know where to navigate in order to park.
Masks will be provided for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have one. Hand sanitizer will also be available throughout various locations at the venue.
