Loud & Proud Performers:
• Pelvis Wrestley
❯ Pelvis Wrestley is a 5 piece, contemporary-country band fronted by Benjamin Violet and backed by Sun June’s Sarah Schultz, Behnam Arzaghi, Daphne Tunes’ Santiago Dietche, and Hannah McVay. The band has quickly become an Austin must-see through their combination of nostalgic lyrics and swinging strings that keep you swaying along to the off-beat tunes.
• Large Brush Collection
❯ Large Brush Collection is an indie folk band led by Nora Predey on bass, Dan Magorrian and Ryan Black on guitars, and Matt Hart on drums. The four piece band experiments instrumentally, with intricately entwined rhythms and countermelodies, while exploring themes of conflict and change with emotional depth and empathy.
• Caleb De Casper
❯ Caleb De Casper is an Austin-based songwriter and performing/recording artist. His style is eccentric, pulling from the makeup of camp horror classics as well as the glamour and decay of old Hollywood. Although his preferred outfit would consist of fishnets and other androgynous paraphernalia, he has been known to wear anything from full-body bandages to diamond-studded leather vests, with the odd evening gown or victorian collar in between. To him, music is performance art.
• Christelle Bofale
❯ Christelle Bofale is an Austin-based singer/songwriter who infuses hints of the Congo into various aspects of her music, bridging the musical influences of the diaspora with juxtaposed elements of indie rock, soul and jazz respectively. In the few short months since releasing her debut EP Swim Team, Bofale has been written up in Pitchfork, named Bandcamp’s artist of the day and her single ‘Origami Dreams’ was named as one of today’s best rock songs by Fader.
• Stretch Panic
❯ “Stretch Panic is a 3 piece garage-rock, ghoul-pop, unicorn-twee, dork-wave band out of Austin that likes to dress like cartoons and sing about vampires…” Need we say more?
