ABOUT LINDSAY WHITE
This year has been a blur for Lindsay White, who recently organized Lady Brain Presents, a collective of women-identifying creatives. Just last month, the group produced their biggest event yet – a 100% female-fronted festival where 20 acts on two stages performed for a crowd of nearly 500 attendees! (www.ladybrainpresents.com)
As for her music career, Lindsay has released two powerful singles in the past year: “The Hound” (#13 debut on the iTunes songwriter chart) and “Let Love Lead the Way” (written for the 2019 San Diego Women’s March and exclusively premiered on Pop Matters). These tracks came on the heels of her acclaimed 2017 LP Lights Out, which debuted #2 on the iTunes songwriter chart and earned her the 2018 San Diego Music Award for Best Songwriter.
Lindsay has opened for notable acts such as The Lone Bellow, David Crosby, Steve Poltz, Susanna Hoffs (The Bangles), Birds of Chicago, Shook Twins, John Craigie, Raining Jane ft. Jason Mraz, Matt the Electrician, and more. She has also showcased at Tucson Folk Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival, and several Folk Alliance international and regional conferences.
