Details

Intersex people exist.

Haven’t heard of us? We’re not surprised. We are often “normalized” at birth or soon after—forced to fit into one of two boxes (M/F) in a false binary shaped by stigma and shame.

But we believe there’s another answer… A world that’s less black and white; one that seeks to lift up, rather than erase, our humanity: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/23/opinion/trump-transgender-memo-intersex.html

Please join ACLU of Texas, HRC Austin and Equality Texas to learn more about the ~2% of your community born intersex, with any of a range of characteristics that may not fit traditional conceptions about male or female bodies.

The ‘I’ in LGBTQIA+ doesn’t stand for invisible! Wear yellow or purple to help us be seen.

*Please arrive at the steps beside the front entrance to City Hall by noon sharp!*
