He’s been called “the male Joni Mitchell.” The Huffington Post has said “if Nick Drake, Janis Ian and Liz Phair all were mixed up in a blender you’d get his sound and songwriting skills.” The Washington Post says he is “not for the faint of heart…but perfect for the brokenhearted.” The Texas-born, New York-based, singer-songwriter Jay Brannan stops in Austin for another live performance at the iconic Stubb’s BBQ on Red River. Stubb’s Austin, 801 Red River St., Austin TX 78701. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Doors open 8 PM, show at 9 PM. All ages. Advanced general admissions tickets are $13 and available online (a $3.75 service fee will apply).
