The Alamo Drafthouse and the Long Center have partnered together for a one-night-only 25th anniversary celebration of HOOK, Steven Spielberg’s classic story of a grown up Peter Pan, featuring live appearances with some of the grown actors who portrayed the Lost Boys in the film.
Like the interactive Quote-Along screenings held at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, this Movie Party event will give audience the opportunity to Quote-Along with their favorite lines – like shouting “Bangarang!” at all the right moments – as well as props such as toy cell phones, inflatable swords for battling pirates, and Pixy Stix to help everyone find their happy thoughts and fly.
The event will feature two of the actors who memorably portrayed the film’s Lost Boys live in person, joined together for the very first time at an event of this kind. Fan favorite Rufio (Dante Brasco), and Don’t Ask (James Madio) will attend and participate in a live introduction before the film, followed by a moderated conversation and Q&A.
“For those of us who grew up with the tale of Pan the Man’s final battle against Captain Hook, it will always hold a special place in our hearts,” says Henri Mazza, Alamo’s V.P. of Special Events. “I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to be in a theater full of fans all chanting out Rufio’s name with Rufio himself in the audience! It should be a great opportunity for all of us to remember the joys of never growing up.”
