Each year therepubliq teams up with our friends at the Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce to host our annual #BigGayKickoff Party at fellow member Oilcan Harry’s, Austin’s oldest running gay bar, in the heart of Austin’s Warehouse District.

This year we’ve joined up with Equality Vodka, who will be giving away drink tickets to the first 100 attendees to check in. Also, be sure to grab one of the chamber’s icon “Big Gay Bags”.

One part welcoming party, one part networking mixer, the Big Gay Kickoff is the perfect opportunity for visitors to meet the locals and get a feel for Austin and ask questions of the people who make this vibrant city home. For locals, it’s a chance to mingle with the out-of-towners and show them some a little Austin hospitality.
Oilcan Harry’s is located in the heart of Austin’s historic Warehouse District, east of Congress Avenue at 211 West 4th Street, between Lavaca and Colorado streets. Just head on over to 4th Street and look for the rainbow flags.
